Did a walleye charter a few weeks back on lake Erie out of Oak Harbor. We went for two days, the first day it was pretty calm so we trolled most of the day and got 28 keepers. There were 2 that were 28" long and 1 that was 26" long. We had one the captain said was about 30" plus that threw the hook right before we could net it. The second day was really windy so we drift fished with walleye rigs and night crawlers. We were able to troll for maybe two hours of the 8. All in all we caught 15 that day, none to really write home about, they all were in the 15-20' range.

They told us the fishing has really picked up, it sure was a fun time and we got a lot of walleye fillets. The crew was great so if anyone is looking to do a charter in Ohio send me a message and I will pass along the info.

I fished a headboat charter out of Port Clinton last weekend. It was a great day and I ended up with 4 keepers and a couple of jumbo perch! I may go out with them 1 more time this season, but, it will probably be for perch as the walleyes will be moving on soo.
