Headed out towards a buddies soon and looking for some good places to fish on the Rock River. Both of us are new bees out there. He just moved out there. We primarily like to fish for Walleyes, but anything will do. We will be on land, not sure if there are any good structure public spots to get to on the Rock River near Oregon / Sterling IL. I don't need absolute specifics but general vicinity would be helpful. Assuming the walleyes should be on the move and starting to spawn shortly. Thanks in advance.

Below the dam right in down town Oregon, open spots room for many anglers on either side of river. Have caught walleye, sauger, catfish. Have seen guys throwing big muskie lures also.
Jig and minnow or kalens jerk minnow
Good luck
