Hi everyone,,, I work in countryside and Im right next to dpr.... Ive gone a hand full of time by I55 and behind the toyota dealer of river road. Ive caught a small bass or two and 1 baby northern foul hooked but thats it. Just wondering if anyone is having success in that area.

I want to say that I think that area is mostly channelized and has minimal action. I could be wrong. If I were to focus on a location in that area it would be by Santa Fe prairie . Still channelized but there is quite a bit of man made structure with wingdams and such. If not there id focus efforts further north or south. My .02

A lot of people fish out of Big Basin for bass, probably one of the most popular stretches for bass fishing in the area.

It off the Bluff Road exit on 55 I think head west of the exit and I think there is a sign pointing down the frontage road. It's a bar/marina and they charge $6 in / $6 out to launch. Other launch options all around there but they all charge I'm pretty sure. I don't fish it much but a lot of local bass tourneys out of there.

Most guys are targeting catfish at the Santa Fe spot. There are a bunch of regulars out there, talk to them. Beer drinkin helped me get to know them. I have launched the fishin kayak there a few time, with not much luck. The cats I have caught were on a chunk of meat or medium roaches sittin on the bottom. Nice size cats though.
