Sometimes, (not always!) I like to fish when conditions are tough and see if I can overcome any weather obstacles Mother Nature may throw. Knowing it would be windless, hot and sunny I thought I'd give it a try and pond hop anyway. As expected the conditions were tough and I went the first hour without even a bite. I kept changing lures and finally put it together. Got my biggest fish of the year throwing a Z-Man Jackhammer chatter-bait. Green Pumpkin with a smoke twin tail trailer. She lunched it off the break-line. Dead calm and bright skies. She went a hair over 6lbs on my scale and would be an easy 7 before the spawn.

Picked up a total of 6 more on a mixed bag of Senkos and frog baits over the weed tops. Had to put in the work though with an average of 45 minutes between each fish. Here's a few of the others I caught.
Tight Lines.
