Tough bite after the monsoons. The water I normally fish is crystal clear but today it was at least a foot high and very chalky. I went with a tandem double Colorado to keep the bait up high; hammered blades for maximum flash. Hit came right next to shore. Also threw my standard chatter-bait and Senko to no avail. Need a few more days to let things settle and it should be on. I am grateful to remain healthy and get out on a gorgeous Friday afternoon. The fish was a bonus.

So did you wash that fish smell off your hands..............or savor it for more lock down time?

Glad you had fun, that tug-a-war with the fish is always fun for me.

Really nice fish to start the season. The latest rains have really churned the waters. The Duper is high and fast.

Been doing great with powerbait pre-rigged shad swimbaits in perch color with a bright green paddletail.

Always an adrenaline boost tagging a fish like that on a spinnerbait. The first, but my money says it won't be the last.
