Went to my go to pond with my dad today. The plan was to catch some small gills and use them for bait. The plan worked great as we caught 10 nice bass maybe more and a 9 lb channel cat. Have a digital scale now so was able to weigh things including this 1.12lb 11" bluegill. Caught it going for bait and thought I had a bass. Unreal.

Reno you hold in your hand a true trophy fish, glad you got to experience the thrill. You may find yourself chasing them more often and letting the green ugly fish go to other fisherman. Just saying..........

Funny thing is I caught a bunch more over 9", but this one came first. So they seemed small.
