What’s up with ammunition prices and how bad will it get. I’m set for a while because I’ve stocked up a few years back and if there’s a sale or deal I’ll jump on it. Looking at some of the prices ammo is going for makes me want to sell everything but that’s not me.

I heard one salesman saying the price of .223 will double when Biden takes office. Slugs have doubled or even tripled in price. Pistol ammo has done the same. Birdshot is still ok which is what I use the most.

I am going through my stuff to see if there’s anything I want to part with because if there’s ever a time it’s now.
What are your guys thoughts.

If you are on Facebook, I HIGHLY recommend you check out MrGunsnGear official Facebook page. He posts all day with solid links to pickup hard to find firearms and ammo. I picked up 4 boxes of Federal 9mm 124gr yesterday. Prices are not what they were pre pandemic but I got them at a good deal all things considered. I also recommend signing up to Palmetto State Armory email list. They post ammo and PSA rifles and other firearms daily. All at normal prices and having a few PSA items I can absolutely say they are GTG.

Word on the street is that if Biden does win the election (technically he hasn’t) they are starting with classifying standard capacity magazine (anything over 10 rounds) as NFA items which means $200 tax stamp per item. Then the ban & confiscation will come after if/when they take the senate. Not looking good for 2A supporters at the moment. We shall see what happens

Personally I wouldn’t sell anything right now. Granted, you can get an all time high for whatever you plan on selling. The flip side is it maybe years, if ever, before you can buy whatever you do end up selling.

I wish I could help,I do not understand as well.
2012-2016-ammo was hard to find.
2016-2019-ammo easier to find.
2020-started out good and now tough to find ammo.
I get the past,do not understand the reason now-

Ammo and guns are always hard to find during Presidential election years. That's a fairly normal thing. It's just doubled by the pandemic, and the racial tension/civil rights movement right now. It will eventually settle down.
