Good luck.
That is a really popular area for leases. Most of the huntable fields in that Fox River coridore are snagged up on expensive leases from high dollar waterfowl clubs.

There are a few public blinds on the river (maps and GPS locations online) but the closest public field hunting for waterfowl I can think of is up in McHenry county. And it gets pounded.

I would try to clear up the situation you have goin on at your field. Property is super difficult to come by nowadays. I wouldn't let it go so easily.

X2 Fields in Yorkville are not easy to come by, especially if you don't have $$ to throw at it. There are a couple spots in that general area with walk-in access for hunting water, but you'd probably want a dog or boat for retrieval.

From the DNR website :

https://www.dnr.illinois.gov/hunting/Fa ... rfowl.aspx

Information on public hunting on the Fox River in Kendall Co. There is also a MAP link provided with the GPS locations of the staked areas you must hunt next to.

Just bring a dog, a kayak, or be pretty quick in a pair of waders for chasing downed birds!
