We would like to do a couple of days of Snow Goose hunting. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced outfitter in Illinois? Thanks!

Found these three outfitters that looked reasonable:

I've heard good things about Snows Unlimited, but have never used their service.

What part of the state are you looking at? I can tell you I always plan a trip to Central Illinois (Fulton Co.) to work on where I deer hunt in Mid March. The amount of snow geese is INSANE. When we get up in the morning, If there aren't 2,000 in the air at a time its a let down. They actually mess with the weather radar down there at time because there or so many. If that interests you, I can get a few names from my buddies down there. Even a trip last week the numbers overhead were pretty crazy.

I hunted with Snows Unlimited about this time 3 years ago. We had a good hunt with them and they have nice pits to hunt out of. I think the best we did was a bit over a dozen birds for a hunt but they definitely have the fields and decoys to bring in a whole lot more. I can't say I was blown away by them or anything but was satisfied with the trip and what we paid for it. Let us know what you end up doing!

I'd stay away from Snows unlimited. They have one good field in Union County, the other fields are not so good. I'd stick with south central out of the three, maybe Kecks as another option for decoying birds by Caryle. if you want execute geese and get big a pile, go with Rick Hamm in Havanna, his approach is aggressive but effective.

I just to the guy I deer hunt with in Central Illinois. He texted his buddy who is a professional hunter (He has a show on Sportsman channel, most people have heard of him) and lives in Central Illinois. He recommended Rick Hamm In Havana. I googled him and checked out his FB page, it now makes me want to go snow goose hunting!
